11-11-11 - A Cosmic Moment

curve of earth from spaceOver the past 18 months I have noticed many changes in society. Financial sectors creaking and crumbling, planetary movements of severe weather, earthquakes and tidal waves, riots and resistance to authority.

As someone who teaches healing and meditation I am also aware of the increase of people seeking answers or guidance beyond logical thought and on a quest to find the answers within (as well as reduce the stress of life). I have witnessed the consciousness of the planet changing as we become more aware of how our thoughts affect us - physically, emotionally and environmentally.

A Cosmic Moment

For those of us who are familar with energy and how we sit in a sea of energy where everything connects, we know that as we raise our energy through meditation and healing practise, old patterns of behaviour come up for clearing. So you might find yourself feeling upset or angry about something triggered by a present event that connects to feelings of the past. This is what I call 'an opportunity to clear' your energy. It's similar to realising that you have been walking for miles with a rucksack on your back filled with old books that you've read and no longer need - in other words it's time to offload and feel lighter - thus your energy becomes lighter too. (When we try to hold on to the 'rucksack' our awareness of it's weight becomes unbearable until we can no longer move).

The 11-11-11 is said to be an important moment for us to connect to in meditation and healing as it will be a moment of light and peace entering the 'sea of energy' that will help all of us to lift our energy and vibration. However this is not simply a one-off event. Just as we feel the effects of a full or new moon days before it happens, we have been building up to this 'shift' for months/years and we will continue to do so in the months/years to come.

What does it mean for you?

This all depends on where your energy is. Do you care and nuture your energy or do you abuse it - physically (junk food), mentally (negative thoughts) and emotionally (feelings of shame/guilt). Do you nurture yourself spiritually to help yourself feel supported in all aspects of your life? If you do then you may experience this change as extremely enlightening. If not, then it may be a little bit of a bumpy ride. The time to start this nurture is now!

Importance of Grounding

Even if you are extremely good at nurturing yourself on all levels, it is equally important to ensure you are grounded during this time. Whilst I practice meditation regularly, I also have to keep my energy grounded. If I don't, I feel my energy is out of balance. Simple ways to be grounded can include taking a walk or a run through trees, being in nature, gardening, and meditating using grounding imagery.
