| If you/someone you know has a serious health condition like cancer/mental health or HIV - some of our therapists have specific training/experience of working within this area. Or perhaps you are looking for a therapist to help you through a challenging time like pregnancy, parenthood, teenager crisis or major changes in your life. |

The range of therapies we offer is extensive and includes:
- Massage/ Tactile Treatments - hands on treatments to help ease physical tension and stress within your body. They are soothing, rhythmical and great for de-stressing, strengthening your body, releasing toxins and relaxation.
- Healing/Energy Treatments - work with the energy (qi/chi) of your body to bring balance and encourage your body to self-heal. They involve no/minimal touch eg placing of hands on/near body. They can be effective for releasing energy blockages and stress. They can bring you a sense of deep relaxation and a sense of well being.
- Consultation 'Talking' Treatments - involve consultation with a therapist to identify the key issues that you are experiencing mentally and emotionally. Helping you to find the root of the problems you are experiencing and advising methods/ways to help alleviate anxiety or stress in the process.
- Consultation Energy Treatments - involve consultation and talking but also include focus on your energy (qi/chi) to help redress imbalances in the mental and emotional energy. Some therapists work specifically with the energy lines (meridians) in the body.

Therapies United - helping you choose the right therapist for your needs
It can be challenging to find a therapist who is right for your health needs. Often people depend on word of mouth, however even then people don't have any assurances that the referred therapist has insurance or is qualified to practise/offer support in a particular health situation like cancer or pregnancy. |
| Therapies United helps you to make a more informed choice by providing you with the assurance that our therapists are checked and monitored for insurance and professional qualifications. In addition, our register is a resource used by Maggie's Centres for Cancer throughout Scotland, SAMH for mental health and Breast Cancer Care to help them field enquiries about complementary therapies to a reliable source - Therapies United. |

Workplace Health and Wellbeing
| It is quoted that over half a million people in UK are affected by stress in the workplace costing society £ 3.7 billion each year . Many companies are starting to address the situation offering counselling and stress management information. |

| Companies recognise the need to help employees balance stress levels and the more switched on ones organise on-site therapists to support this. Many employees can ask their workplace to consider a similar plan. It could be in their best interest as a growing amount of medical research links stress to common health conditions such as high blood pressure.
